I am currently writing my dissertation in Polish literature at Columbia University and teaching at Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznan, Poland. My research is primarily focused on popular culture in the Polish People's Republic and in the interwar period. My dissertation is on crime fiction in Poland in the 1960s with a particular emphasis on the novels of the translator and writer Maciej Słomczyński.
